A founder and partner of Jacobs/Wyper Architects, Mr. Jacobs has over twenty-six years experience in the design of a wide range of facilities for corporate, educational, institutional and private clients. His early work was based on energy conscious design, and the integration of energy concepts into building design. Projects include corporate headquarters for major international companies for Research and Development facilities to smaller scale projects for colleges and universities. He is active in the community and in professional societies both locally as well as an International nonprofit board. He has been an adjunct professor at Temple University, Drexel University, and a visiting critic at the University of Pennsylvania. Selected projects include:
- Design and Masterplan of a New Research and Development headquarters for Nycomed Inc., a Norwegian Pharmaceutical Company located in Malvern, PA. This project was a fast tracked 155,000 square foot facility with a construction budget of $18,000,00 and included offices, laboratories and sterile facilities.
- Design and Renovation of the 100,000 s.f. Research and headquarters facility for Cephalon Inc., West Chester, PA, a biotechnology company.
- Design of the Swiss Road Condominiums in Lake Placid, New York.
- Masterplan and Research Headquarters for Henkel Corporation, a German Chemical Company based in Ambler, PA. This project involved a site masterplan, programming and new research facility valued at $7,000,000.
- First Phase Masterplan for the Village of Lake Placid and the Town of North Elba, NY. This project involved the first analysis phase of creating an overall masterplan for this Olympic site.
- Renovation and Masterplan of a research, manufacturing and headquarters facility for Upstate Biotechnology, Inc. in Lake Placid, NY.
