The site is at the heart of the campus, and it occupies a zone where the academic, residential, and athletic precincts converge. The design organizes the arts components to form a significant new exterior space with the existing structures and it serves as a major new portal to the campus.
Jacobs/Wyper, Architects was the architect of record for this project with Adele Naude Santos Architects. The artist Mary Miss collaborated on the landscape design of the quadrangle under a major grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.
